How each platform rewards content

Choose where to post and shape each post for what that platform rewards.
Every feed is a ranking system
Each platform shows people what it predicts they will spend time with, react to and come back for. You cannot see the formula, and it changes, but the signals are consistent: did people stop, did they stay, did they respond, did they share or save. Write for those behaviours, not for a trick.
What each platform tends to favour
LinkedIn: professional insight, lessons from real work, clear opinions, and conversation in the comments. X: short, sharp points, timely takes and threads that reward reading on. Instagram: strong visuals, carousels people save, and Reels that hold attention. Facebook: community, local and familiar faces, posts that start conversations among people who know each other. TikTok and YouTube Shorts: vertical video that hooks in the first second and is worth watching to the end.
Pick two, not six
Being consistent on two platforms beats being occasional on six. Choose the two where your audience already spends time and where you can show up well. Add a third only when the first two run without stress.
Before
Posting the same text and image on every platform the same day.
After
One idea, written as a short opinion for LinkedIn, a punchy line for X, a 5-slide carousel for Instagram and a 20-second talking video for TikTok.
