Visuals that stop the scroll

9 min

By the end you will

Pair posts with visuals that are clear, on-brand and made for the feed.

A visual has one job

It should make the right person stop and understand the point faster. A clear text card, a real photo, a simple chart or a short video often beats a busy design.

Consistency builds recognition

Use the same colours, fonts and logo placement so people know it is you before they read the name. Vary the layout so the feed does not look stamped out. MediaShark's "Your look" does both.

Use only what you have the right to use

Use your own photos, images you generated, or images you have a licence for. Do not take photos from search results or other accounts.

Common mistakes

  • Tiny text that cannot be read on a phone.
  • A different style every post.
  • Using images without the right to use them.

Checklist

  • My visual makes the point in a glance.
  • It uses my brand colours and logo.
  • I have the right to use every image.

Do it in MediaShark

In Studio, add a free visual to a post, then try "Shuffle my look" in the Style panel.
